# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Everything cooks in under 40 minutes, so you can go from craving to devouring without losing momentum.
  • The smoky barbecue beef adds a flavor punch that plain seasoned meat just cant match.
  • You can pile on whatever toppings you have in the fridge and still call it dinner.
  • Leftovers reheat surprisingly well if you use the oven instead of the microwave.
02 -
  • Drain the beef well after browning or the barbecue sauce will taste greasy instead of rich.
  • Use thick, restaurant style tortilla chips because thin ones will shatter under the weight of toppings.
  • Dont skip the smoked paprika, its what makes the beef taste like it came off a smoker.
  • Add toppings only after baking or the sour cream will melt and the vegetables will get soggy.
03 -
  • Layer cheese between two rounds of chips and beef for maximum melty coverage.
  • Use a cast iron skillet instead of a baking sheet if you want to serve them straight from the pan.
  • Toast the chips lightly in the oven for a few minutes before adding toppings if you want them extra crispy.
  • Keep a little extra barbecue sauce on the side for drizzling over the top just before serving.
